Just when Things We going so well...

... my landlady texted me today saying she was sorry not to catch me befoe I went home for easter because she wanted to tell me something in person.

Well they sold their house, which i knew they were trying to do. And they assured me the new place would be just up the road and I'd have a room there as well. Except, now i'm told their deal to buy the new place has fallen through so they're moving in with family and I'm shit out of luck and need to move out at some point over the next four weeks.

Fun Times. I don't think.`

Only staying in the area for another couple of months. S'going to be a bitch. Worst comes to worst I have to move in with my sister and her fiance and commute for an hour a day.

Oh that sucks balls. A similar situation happened to my family a couple years ago. Is it expensive to get something else or just difficult?

hopefully it shouldn't be too expensive. But well there's not that many rooms on offer in the area and i'm worried people won't be too enthusiastic about me lodging for only a short time period.

Why do you only take short-term lodging? Why not just get a flat?

Because I only have a job and therefore income for the next couple of months and then its back to being a full time masters student living with my parents.

Oh. One of my friends just finished her dissertation for Computing too. Most of my close friends are in IT. I'm one of the few doing something else. When my computer breaks (which is kind of often), I call one of them to help. Lol

My sister is the closest and she has offered but like i said its about 50 minute train ride from hers to my work place. So its not ideal but a good back up if I can't find somewhere in town.

Yes, but a text? "I can't tell you in person, so I'll text you"? Do people really never pick up a phone for anything else anymore?

I think the worst part, though, is that they had led you to believe you were covered. But I guess there's no knowing how this has played out for them. I'm just sorry you have to deal with this inconvenience.

Ahh, that's rotten luck. I hope everything works out for you! Living-situation stress is never okay, but at least you have a sort-of backup plan. Been meaning to comment recently, but school this week flattened me so I had no time to do things online. Hope you are well and that your housing issue gets straightened out : /
