BLAH

So third week of work down and things are still pretty touch and go as far as actually having work to do  has gone. Been busy for a couple of complete days but the shorter day on friday and i had nothing to do. Spend most of the time till leaving 13:30 guiltily surfing the net on my work comp.

Today I've been doing to usual lazing about, being online, watching a film and reading Master & Commander. Which is not a patch on Hornblower as far Napoleonic naval books go.

But i'm just feeling restless, like I should be doing something more, though I've no idea what.  If nothing else I should be writing. Spent most of the day waiting for asoiafkinkmeme's new round to open and am still uninspired by the results. I want to write that threesome prompt for you Luna or one of your prompts from earlier rounds but its just not flowing.

Maybe I burnt myself out with asoiaf already.

So in summary: blah.

also LJ has convinced me i need some delicious delicious battenburg. i need to go food shopping tomorrow anyway. That's the other sucky thing. I need to plan meals and food a lot better. But a lot of time I just feel too lazy un motivated to actually cook much. I fail at self-sufficiency.

I think you read my mind when you wrote this post because my week/time has been pretty similar. When I was writing my Jon/Theon piece it was like my brain was full of glue on how to string everything together, but I just made myself work on it literally every day until it was finished. Now I'm happy with it, but the piece didn't come together as easily as other things I've written.

Don't you have it when you sign up for a job (or a similar commitment) and then there isn't much for you to do? My research thing has pretty much been the same way. I get audio files, transcribe them, and then wait for more recordings from interviews. I hate that waiting is part of the process.

If you ended up writing the threesome prompt I have a feeling it would turn out really well. As far as writing goes, you seem to be much better at writing about a variety of characters, as opposed to someone like me, who usually picks 1-2 people in a fandom and gets ingrained in that mindset.

Do you like the new area you moved to? I've been meaning to ask that. I'm moving to a different apartment in a week, and I'm excited about it but at the same time it's a lot to plan. There's so many loose ends when you move, like, will I have crazy neighbors? Will my dog like it there? or How will I stay alive in this place with no air conditioning?
