So the thirty-first of May has arrived! Where is this year going? That'll be my fifth month of employment! I should think about this whole moving out thing assuming my job seems to be legitimately ongoing.

And of course this post will bring me to 38 this month by my count. And in my time zone at least one every day. Some times two! Though I did run out of things to say pretty early on and just started to use the journal as a... well a journal. So there.

And according to my excel spreadsheet (yeah, I am enough of a geek to go there) I wrote 9 fics, a total of 6693 words and an average per day of 215.9 words for [livejournal.com profile] hp_may_madness The very definition of barely adequate I think, given a target of 200 a day. (i don't know if that counts as passing the challenge. I didn't write every day after all)

But given I only wrote one 1,488 word fic in April, and nothing except a fest repost in March. I think I'll mark this in a win column anyway.

I hope everyone enjoyed my SED and May Madness efforts, anyway and I shalll try to keep posting and writing at a reasonable rate.

Had a lazy day, which I suppose is most of my weekend days, slept in late. Watched Dvds played, games, chatted on the internet. It's been a nice recharge after a couple of days of worry.

How is every one?

I lost my season ticket :'( Don't know where it can have gone. The only thing i can think is that it came out of pocket at tescos. I had that pocket stuffed full of plastic bags I was reusing so... Why am I up past midnight? its a 24 hour store so i went and asked. Nothing had been handed in but she'd been there since 10. Might try ringing in the morning to double check.

Still hope i just put it down somewhere stupid and will come across it. Or it'll be in the store. In any case i checked national rail's website and they issue duplicate for lost tickets and i found the receipt miraculously in the 'on the floor' filing system. So i may be able to replace it anyway. I hope paid enough for it and it had a month and a bit left on it.

:(:(:(:(:(

Yes, this has become a journal rather than a talk about anything interesting. Still, today was less raining. whhich was good because my umbrella was still in my shower where it had been left to try off after yesterday.

So i drove home. put the car in the garage had dinner. Realised i'd planned to go food shopping this evening. got the car out of the garage. realised i'd forgotten my bags to reuse, when back in the house got them. went shipping. got back to the car. realised things i'd forgotten to buy. when back into shop to buy then. went home. Realised other things i'd forgotten to buy.

*sigh* i forget so much. Someone get me whatsit, a thingie, a remembrall.

Tipping it down here today just in time for my walk to the train station. Then my train was delayed by 15 minutes. Actually lucky it happened this week since I'm driving myself to and from the station, it doesn't hold up anyone else's evening.

still delayed mine. Grr. And I've still not managed any more writing.

The moon is bright tonight. I only know because I'd forgotten to water the garden plants until way after sundown.

I wonder what the centaurs would think of this...

It hasn't been a productive day. Watch an episode of B5. Read a fic. Played some video game. Not sure what happened to the rest of it. Oh, refuelled a car for the first time! I made my mum come along and show me even though it couldn't be that hard to figure out but she need to go to the shop anyway.

I suspect the rest of it was spent on Imgur. i may need to stop going there.

Obviously I failed at [livejournal.com profile] hp_may_madness on a write every day sense. But I could still write the equivalent of 200 words a day, on average, if I had ideas, or hadn't just jinxed myself by saying tht was the plan.

Thanks for you kind thoughts and words yesterday. I am feeling better today. Weird thing is i'm occasionally more nervous about work when i'm not there than when I am, even when it's not going very well.

Quiet night tonight, though that's all my nights, really. Been food shopping with the parents. Though its more for me than them, since they're going on holiday (again!) on sunday for a couple of weeks.

Going to have a bath and make tomorrow's lunch and i think that will be a good portion on the evening gone...

Where things seem to go wrong and I'm left in a weird funk. I'd say it's time for much chocolate but I'm not feeling comfortable in the stomach region either.

Blah. I should get an early night and see if things look better in the morning. But then I always think I should have an early night and it somehow it goes from being too early to far too late in the blink of an eye.

I might as well make a series of this. Today's Six-Thirty BBC Radio 4 comedy was Just A Minute.

Time for J.A.M )

As I have previously vouchsafed it's now over half way through May. So why am I sitting here with my quilt over me. Why have I been wearing a jumper and coat for most of my walk out? What is happening to this planet's weather systems?

*ahem* The ice play prompt at May-Madness seems oddly appropriate today.

The worse thing is it'll probably be amazingly hot in our office tomorrow. Our team's on the top floor and its noticably hotter than the rest of the building even on slightly warm days. The older hands on the team are warning its going to be roasting when the weather actually gets hot in summer.

So something to look forward to.

This another of the shows that I am a fan of but not in the fandom of so to speak. It's a radio sitcom made by BBC Radio 4. My folks often have the radio on and radio 4 has half hour comedy programs on weekdays at six thirty. Ranging from panel shows and topical comedy to things like this a radio sitcom about a charter plane service with a crew of four.

Well technically half way is half way through tomorrow's post. But still.. almost. Almost!

so glad its the weekend. I actually doozed off between tea time and my tv program and I don't normally nap.

I somehow managed to miss my train today though, despite being at the station before it should have gone. I'm sure I saw a poster about them changing train times recently as well, I hope they haven't cancelled that service all together. That would suck.

I'm Sure! )

And Stephen Fry is a decent reader. Listening to Deathly Hallows audiobook at the moment, and the ad bits are making me feel sad.
