This is bizarre because normally no one cares about Draco/Ginny fics (which is largely what I write) but holy smokes one of my fics is there!

I searched your name, Daye and found 5 of your fics then I searched, on the off chance, for my name and boom! one fic by Nutmeg44. This is bizarre. I don't like this. How do I get it down, or at least have it stay with permission?

There's a contact form on the webpage in question. Nia's post I linked to contains a form letter listing the details you need to give to get it taken down.

I read that part before I clicked the first link. I honestly didn't think my fic would be there. All I thought after the click was, 'Get it down'.

At least they kept us as the original authors. They took my fic from FIA.

Well, I've sent in my request for my story to be removed. Let's see if they honour it.

I think they have. mine are gone at least. Given the sheer number of posts I've seen about this on lj, they're probably being buried in dmca complaints.

I saw that they took down yours but mine is still up. I've sent two different messages to the site itself, the host for their site (Webzilla) and to the site operator for FIA (because that is from where it was taken) so we'll see if anything comes of it. From what I can tell, the stories that were poached from AO3 have been removed.

The thing is, I'm not sure I would have minded my story being there had they asked me first.

Now, I know I definitely don't want my story on their site. Ugh!

Holy shit, mine are up there too! And they don't even have the ones I consider good, just the average ones lol.

Why would an ebook site have HP fanfic on there? I mean, who would download that?

I know right! It's a bizarre selection of mine. But at least two seem to be the ones with the most kudos on AO3.

Idk why they picked the ones that were up there, it seemed kind of random. I'm almost done with the semester!!!! My finals start next week o_o but it'll be nice to have them over with. I have a really cool internship for the summer but that doesn't start till May 18th, so I'll have some time to just hang out and do nothing.

How have you been doing? It feels like neither of us have been posting as much lately.

I'm doing well thanks. I've got a job now, which is good in one sense, but I miss having time to write and the creativity I used to have.
