Standard finale really, with no real surprises but very competently done.
It's all solid. There are no curveballs with Anisha, she's not secretly much more evil or anything that's fine with me.
As to Braka, I get the feeling people would thing he had more of a point than he did? I never saw him as a well intentioned extremist or having a point or anything? Like "What is starfleet?" where they had to invent a much more shady mission than usual mission for it, here they have him a gripe but it's only revealed and disproved here, which I think it's weaker for. That said, I don't really want him to have a point if that makes sense?
SAM and Genesis: Well they sort of address it briefly as much as they could in one episode that's most about something else but I maintain it should have had an episode to itself
Caleb's platitudes and speeches about starfleet and standard but fine. Not as hokey as Disco's end of series speeches to be honest.
I think the real stand out was Reno both as Captain of the Athena and teacher/mentor. Leading the cadets and assigning tasks effectively and managing to treat the saving of the federation as a final exam for the example and still gentle encouraging Darem and Caleb even when the fuck up. Real kudos there.
oh but we're really not dealing with B'Avi's death or Kyle or Dzolo anymore?

Still next season I wish for more Genesis. Either use of ditch Occam. In fact, Caleb's arc is kind of finished now, so maybe he can be more of a supporting character and Genesis can take centre stage? Wishful thinking, I guess.
