Grimmauld Place was well-named. It was a dingy house full of distasteful iconography. The Order of the Phoenix has tried to clean it up nearly a decade ago but had had to stop part way through.
Still it had fallen into Harry Potter's possession and he found uses for it.
There was nothing wrong with the master bedroom for example. Harry had Pansy Parkinson flat on her back and naked on its four-poster.
