You poke at it once a week or every two. Maybe it takes a couple of writing sessions to get one done but you just chip away at it. Or, of course, you could try to combine so every time there's a new Harry100 or other comm, you take a look and see if any of these work with it. I'd save the free square until you're getting close to the end and you've made real progress on the rest of the board. All of that is assuming you're trying to black it out not just get a row. Because then yeah, anything would finish it off.
