Neville Longbottom was surprised when Hannah Abbott approached him a few days before Christmas with a wrapped parcel.

"Hi Neville!" she said,"This is for you. Merry Christmas."

"Thank you," Neville said, automatically. He took the gift. "I.. I don't have anything for you."

"Don't worry about that!" Hannah said, slightly pink in her face. Her hands, free of the gift, went to her hair

"Well… thank you," Neville said awkwardly.

He got two corridors away when he realised why Hannah would give me a gift out of the blue.

"Oh," He said to himself, and started thinking about possible dates.
