Harry Potter tossed and turned in bed. He jerked awake with a soft cry, clutching the burn mark at the centre of his chest.
Years later and his hurts still occasionally flared up and he awoke drenched in sweat. He didn't even remember his dreams beyond high-pitched laughter, green light and pain.
He remained quiet through all of it: it was his to bear.
He looked around. A pair of luminous silver eyes gleamed in the dark.
Wordlessly, Luna threw an arm over him, and her soft head rested against his chest, taking away his hurts.
He slept once more.
