hp_nextgen100's Prompt #305: "Mind The Gap". Hence the creative title. it was a struggle to put this in one drabble or stretch it to so as a cheat, the context is given in the summary.
- - -
9-year-old Albus Severus Potter was too grown up to hold hands, even if the London Underground train he was on with Grandpa Weasley was incredibly busy.
Albus wasn't worried about himself but Grandpa was looking at every Muggle thing in every direction except the one they were going.
"Grandpa, what does mind the gap mean?"
"Well…" Grandpa said and embarked on a long explanation about the train, the platform they were pulling into and the distance between them.
Grandpa slowly and carefully guided Albus over the gap and while doing so got over it himself, just as Al had planned.
