"Potter," growled a voice.
The world swam into focus over the top of Harry Potter's cup of coffee. He'd just got back from 12 hours of fruitless stake-out. He made a grunt of acknowledgement.
"Clean yourself up," Robards continued. "You're going in front of the Wizengamot, this morning."
Harry made an extended grumbling sound that did not impress his boss.
"Mr Goyle's solicitor is angling for wrongful arrest, Potter, so I hope you are more convincing than last time."
"Yes, sir," Harry said, wondering what he'd done last time.
This was why he loved his job. It was so rewarding.

Harry Potter's world was spinning and he spending most of his concentration resisting the urge to vomit. A Healer's fingers and wand-tip prodded and poked his skull as the Auror's duty Healer examined him.
"Well you'll live," The healer said begrudgingly
Harry glanced over to the other side of the room. Two witches were crying tears of joy and relief, and clutching their three children to them hard enough that the other healer was having trouble examining them to see what the kidnappers had done to them.
He smiled. This was why he loved his job. It was so rewarding.
