Hermione Granger-Weasley returned home late at night and braced herself for what her husband would say. As a high-ranking Ministry official though, she was always needed to deal with emergencies.
She stumbled upstairs and into their bedroom.
Ron was there, and he wasn't looking angry or impatient at all. Instead, he was standing by their daughter's crib rocking it gently. His blue eyes were wide and adoration as he looked down on little Rose Granger-Weasley.
Hermione gazed at him, unaware at the identical expression on her own face.
Amortentia, eat your heat out. She thought. This is the real thing.
