Scorpius Malfoy entered the club and tried to suppress the urge to fidget. Still he couldn't help look around wide eyed, it was his first time in a club, much less a gay bar, still less a Muggle establishment. So a Muggle Gay Club really was breaking new ground for him.
His attention was a particular caught by a tall man with asymmetrical auburn hair who was dancing exuberantly to the music.
Bracing himself Scorpius went to the bar and when the (ridiculously chiselled) waiter arrived to take his order, he realised he didn't know what to say.
"Two rum and cokes, please," said a voice over his shoulder. "And two for you, mate?"
Scorpius looked over his shoulder and stared it was if the man had seem him looking, the auburn hair stranger had come straight over.
Only he wasn't a stranger.
"No, no, that was a line! Just two drinks. Cheers." James Sirius Potter was saying to the waiter in an urgent voice. "I wasn't expecting to see anyone I recognised here you know."
You're telling me. Scorpius said mutely. Still staring. He took the drink. James clinked glasses with him and smiled.
"Thanks," Scorpius forced out. "Y-you look good."
James smiled more broadly.
"How about you drink some more of that courage and then we'll get you on the dance floor and see where the evening takes us." James said, and Scorpius depicted a bit of pinkness under James make up. "That is, if you want to of course."
Scorpius felt an odd swooping sensation in his stomach that had nothing to do with the drink.
"I'd love to." Scorpius said.
-much later-
Sleepy, Sweaty and extremely sated, James Potter collapsed face first on to his bed. Wondering if it was worth finding his jeans and tidying up a bit before passing it out. There was a movement next to him and with effort he rolled on his side.
Scorpius Malfoy was hovering next to the bed, still pleasingly naked but looking worryingly anxious.
"I.. ah…" Scorpius said. "I don't know what to do."
"I wouldn't say that," James said, smiling at him to cover his own confusion. "I wouldn't say that at all."
"No, I mean… after" Scorpius said very softly.
"hey," James said gently. "I was joking. Well I wasn't. Look, I'm not a love and leave them kind of guy. I'm not kicking you out of bed now we're done. Me, I tend to pass out afterwards and you're welcome to join me."
Scorpius let out a strangled laugh.
"Then tomorrow, we can make breakfast, or order it. You can go or you can stay. Quidditich is on, we could listen to that. It's all up to you."
Scorpius lay down on the bed and then tentatively reached out and put an arm around James. He blinked but after a second he put his arm around Scorpius' shoulders and then gently stroked his damp golden hair.
"And if you really twist my arm maybe we'll have some more sex," James said as if he were reluctant. "You know if you want."
Scorpius chuckled more naturally.
"I'll stay, I'll stay," he said snuggling up to James.
"I'm glad," James said, as they both drifted to sleep.
