I was never too big a fan of the movie versions of Harry Potter. All of Which (included the first two FB movies but not the third one) are currently on Netflix in the top 10 movies in the UK page.

So this is the ranking of movies according to people who watch HP movies on netflix recently:
1 Chamber Of Secrets
2 Goblet Of Fire
3 Half Blood Prince
4 Philsopher's Stone
5 Prisoner of Azkaban
6 Order of Phoenix
7 Deathly Hallows (part 1 then part 2)

I'm surprised That's the most popular but maybe people are just doing them in order? Philsopher's is low if that is the case. Prisoner is much lower than I expected tbh.

Interesting. I was never really huge on the movies either, though I liked some a lot better than others. I probably would have ranked CoS at the bottom, actually--I found the tone too silly and sappy. But maybe that's what some viewers want!

It's been ages since I watched any--probably sometime I had a small houseguest who wanted to watch them but yeah, it does seem odd to me as well.

I remember PoA as the only one where the director tried to make a film rather than an adaptation of the book.

Chamber of Secrets was highly rated by my adolescent self largely on the grounds of Christian Coulson's amazing cheekbones.

In general I think I'd have preferred the movies if they'd cast a sharper, stranger Harry, and not cuddly Dan Radcliffe, and if they'd cast MWPP and Snape with actors closer to the characters' book age – so 30s not 50s.

Yes, and I completely get them wanting Alan Rickman. If I'd been them, I'd have wanted to cast Alan Rickman as Snape too!

Still can't think of any alternative Snape actors, whether now or twenty years ago, who'd have so much presence.
