The Herbology Master reminded Neville Longbottom uncomfortably of Professor Snape, though he did not look much like him. He was short, broad and bald, and earthy rather than greasy.
Nevertheless he looked at his potential apprentices with a gimlet eye that made it clear he would judge them severely.
"Longbottom," he snapped.
"Yes sir,"
"Outstanding N.E.W.T I see"
"Yes. Sir."
"Everyone here has." The Master was unimpressed.
"Are you going to work hard, Longbottom?"
"Yes Sir,"
"Are you the sort to procrastinate?"
"...Ah?" Neville was stumped.
"Well?" The Master barked.
"No sir!" said Neville. "Don't know what it means, sir!"
