Harry scowled about the Christmas party and hated every second of it: he hated the garish woolly jumpers, he hated the predicable jokes of tipsy co-workers he barely knew and most of all, he hated the enforced cheeriness of it all.
“It’s a party, sourpuss,” Ron said approaching with a drink in each hand. “Look happy.”
Harry glowered.
“We need to get you laid, mate” Ron said off the look.
“What? Right now?”
“No time like the present,” Ron said clapping him on the shoulder. “Leave it to me.”
Harry felt a great foreboding as Ron disappeared into the party.

Luna Lovegood wandered over to Harry looking as if she'd come to the party by accident.

Luna’s cottage was a tiny two up, two down affair in the middle of nowhere. As soon as Harry entered he felt a great weight leaving him.

Harry wondered about something as they drank the tea and then realised that with Luna the direct approach was usually the ticket.
