harry100's prompt # 445: Replacement.
Teddy Lupin was too old for Harry to hold his hand but he still wanted to as they ventured into the crowds of King’s Cross Station.
He shared a smile with Andromeda, as Teddy took the barrier at a run and they followed him onto platform nine and three-quarters.
There was the usual hubbub but there was no smoke and no steam filling the air, Harry realised something was wrong.
He hailed a porter.
“Hogwarts Express is cancelled.” The man said, “There’s a replacement bus service.”
Teddy looked like he was going to cry and Harry felt the same way.
