An unholy wailing woke James up, he bolted upright and acting purely on instinct tried to jump out of bed. He didn’t succeed; instead he hit a wall that wasn’t usually there, swore and collapsed back onto the bed.
Next to him a figure reached out an arm and slapped something on a table and the noise stopped.
“Dom?” James asked.
“Jamie?”
“What was that?”
“’S called an alarm clock.”
“Dom, it’s Saturday.”
“So?”
James let out a groan and tried to bury into an unfamiliar pillow.
“Don’t moan,” Dominique said. “You’re the one who wanted to sleep with me.”
