Well fandom baby steps. I read a fanfiction and I watched an episode of Disco. Stream of consciousness thoughts under the cut.

Episode 11 - Su-Kal

So I have spoiled myself on certain roster changes by the end of the season. And I guess they were subtly leading that with the Admiral often giving orders Saru doesn’t expect but yeah he’s noticeably out of whack when it comes to the Nebula.

Book is noticeably over reckless as well for less reason, but we do finally see his ship’s morphing ability used to full extent I think?

Grey is back but does note he’s not supposed to exist like he does. So there’s that.

Michael gives Tilly a pep talk about taking over the conn but that just raises the question of why the heck she’s XO. Any of the other senior officers would at least have some conn time even if the XO or Captain were just ready in the wings to take over.

Okay, wow, Doug Jones gets some non-make up face time. That I like.

These guys are pretty slow on the up take about what the holos are for. We got that already.

So the kid’s tantrums caused ‘The Burn’?! Hmmm.

Oh, I assumed the holo-monster was a ba’ul. Maybe I am slow on the uptake, lol.

Well Discovery was overpowered pretty easily then.. and maybe tentacle sexed? What? That seemed... easy.

But hey, big cliffhanger.

I actually really like the whole Su'Kal storyline a lot, it feels very "Star Trek" to me. Doug Jones is so animated even in make up, it was a delight to see how animated he was without it!

It did seem like Ossyria was able to get on Disco waaaaaay too easily. She's like the Mary Sue of villains!
