hp_nextgen100 for prompt # 197:"Cousins", and I only put half of them in!
Scorpius tried not to stare as a beautiful seventh year girl with flowing silver-gold hair sauntered up and stopped next to him.
"Hi Al," she said with a breath-taking smile. "How are you settling in?"
Scorpius' new friend Albus greet her quite unshyly, which was unusual.
"That's my cousin, Victoire," Albus said afterwards.
The same girl said ‘Hello’ at lunchtime, except that her hair was now much redder and shorter.
"Did Victoire change her hair this morning?" Scorpius asked in confusion.
Al frowned at him momentarily, then his face cleared.
"That wasn't Victoire,” He said. “it was my cousin Dominique."
The next morning, a broad black lad gave them directions to Charms class that left them going round in circles for the next quarter hour.
"Molly!" Al said at last, "do you know where Classroom 12 is?"
"You're on the wrong side of the castle Al." said Molly, who though older was barely taller than them and had mousy brown hair.
"I'll kill Freddie." Al said grumpily, "He told us it was this way."
"They were..." Al said as they hurried away.
"...your cousins, right." Scorpius responded. “Tell me, Al. Is there anyone in this castle that isn’t your cousin?”
