Dang, now I really wish I had Sky Atlantic to see the series. Hope the DVD release is some time soon. Just have to re-read the books until then I suppose...

Date: 2011-06-24 02:19 pm (UTC)I haven't read the books, but I really enjoyed the first season on HBO. Bit gory in a lot of parts, and they sure do love to throw a lot of nudity around, but very compelling and great characters. The last two episodes blew me away.
Peter Dinklage as Tyrion is excellent. One of my favorite characters, easily. And gosh darn it, I know he's morally reprehensible, but I can't help but have a sort of begrudging respect for Jaimie Lannister. He's got his own honor code that he works within and I find him sort of fascinating.
