Crossposting

Anyone else having issues crossposting to livejournal?

It says I've been ip banned for too many incorrect passwords. my lj password hasn't changed since it worked and is correct on my other sites setting so it's a bit odd.


edit: have opened a tech help request with dreamwidth though obviously don't expect much of a response today.

It seems that LJ has banned DW's IP -- for 1 hour after each per-account N-attempts failure -- but since DW has a lot of crossed accounts, so... :-/

I'm afraid that a realistic scenario is like that: DW guys (mostly Western) _stop_ drinking about Dec. 30, and tell to LJ guys "it's on your side". But LJ guys (mostly Russians) just _start_ drinking about the same date and continue up to approx. Jan 10. So we can expect some real fix-up in January :-(

Dunno if you ever got a response about it but I just saw a reply to someone else's post on the issue (Vaysh, if you want to go look) and apparently it has something to do with DW's new servers. It may be weeks before it's sorted but they are aware and are working on correcting it.

Maybe go over and post telling people to look for you at DW for the foreseeable future. Since I'm always posting at multiple comms (like nextgen100), I am used to doing it manually but it's definitely more convenient to have DW do it for me.
