Storm Doris is causing trouble today. I only got a bit of rain but I hope all my UK based friends are okay?

My usual train home ultimately goes to London and thus was cancelled, apparently all trains in and out are cancelled. Luckily a Northern local train was 50 minutes late and at just the right time for me to get on and go home so I was only slightly later than I would otherwise have been.

In other news. I've run out of mobile internet. Of course it wasn't so long ago I had no such thing and didn't need it. This is why I should read fanfic on my commute and not browse images and gifs online....

Work doesn't look to be letting up soon. I'm fine but not getting anywhere with any RL or writing goals.

It's so weird for me to think of the UK getting storms because my experience with storms are tropical hurricanes. Are your storms similar?

I'm going to say (and hope that it's true) that lots of work means that your job is secure and not at risk of being downsized.

Maybe you can plot and research your stories in the meantime, while work is busy and then get down to writing when things settle down a bit. Plotting and researching is my favourite part of writing. I love browsing British real estate sites for homes that my characters will live in. I have pics of posh townhouses, grand manor estates and rustic little cottages for my characters.

Okay, well that's good. Hurricanes are brutal.

My office is switching us up and I'm finally moving out of my tiny cramped workspace with one other person...into a slightly bigger cramped workspace with 2 other people. LOL Plus, side is I get to be in a nice little cubicle instead of the open floor plan. Minus side, I get to be in a room with 2 other people. I think we're also getting an 8% increase in salary but I don't know when that will become effective. Until I see that on my payslip I won't believe it.

I love plotting. I have whole stories plotted that don't go anywhere. Just an everlasting amount of pics of people, places, clothes, houses, gardens... etc that never get put in a story. While I'm researching I feel productive...then the spark fizzles before I actually write anything substantial.

Don't get excited. We got paid and it was negligible. Really, it was 5% not 8% and 5% of nothing is still nothing. (-_-)

One is my idiot supervisor (who keeps showcasing his idiocy every day) and the other is still the same girl I was sharing the smaller space with. Nothing has changed there.

I get along well enough with the girl. I think we're on the same page now. My supervisor is still an idiot but at least I don't feel like I'm in a fishbowl anymore.

Glad to hear you're OK and the commute wasn't too much of a bother, all things considered.

I'm fine but not getting anywhere with any RL or writing goals.

Same. Also, *hugs*

Have a good weekend.
