Dominique was just reaching for her broomstick when thick black cloud rolled over the skies and a thicker downpour of rain splattered across the ground.
“Damn,” she muttered. A flight would have been just the thing to distract her from work.
“Damn?” James asked, sticking his head around the doorway.
“Damn! I was going to do some flying.”
James stepped up behind her, looking out the window.
“Never mind, there’s someone else for you to do right here.”
“That’s such a terrible line.”
“Not if it works.” James’ lips were soft against her neck as she relaxed into his arms.
