A/n: For "Challenge 110: Clouds" at hp_nextgen100. Part of What I've decided to call the 'Flatmating' Series. Though it doesn't advance the plot such as it is.

Dominique was just reaching for her broomstick when thick black cloud rolled over the skies and a thicker downpour of rain splattered across the ground.

“Damn,” she muttered. A flight would have been just the thing to distract her from work.

“Damn?” James asked, sticking his head around the doorway.

“Damn! I was going to do some flying.”

James stepped up behind her, looking out the window.

“Never mind, there’s someone else for you to do right here.”

“That’s such a terrible line.”

“Not if it works.” James’ lips were soft against her neck as she relaxed into his arms.
