I figured I just needed to start. Pen to paper (in the proverbial sense) is the first step.

Yes indeed! Writing what I can is one reason why I end up writing my fics non-linearly sometimes. Write what I can and then weave them together afterwards.

Yeah, I keep trying to write linearly, get discouraged when the words don't come and then delay. I have to become more comfortable writing non-linearly. I might get more writing done that way.
