The barmaid gave Harry a wide smile when he picked up his round of butterbeers, but she was probably just looking for a bigger tip.
Harry retreated back to Ron and the other guys’ table, disheartened. When he’d left they’d been happily discussing the goings-on of their active love lives and still would be on his return.
Newly single, Harry had many options. Parvati sashayed past him in painted-on jeans. Susan played with her copper locks at the sight of him.
All he had to do was ask.
Gryffindor, where dwell the brave of heart. Harry thought sullenly. Yeah, right.
