Why is the Rum always Gone?

So I was planning to do this anyway because firewhiskeyfic is tomorrow. But other news solidified it. I bought me some rum today. Then I drunk a tiny amount of it neat and remember why I don't generally drink. Lol. Lots of mixer tomorrow.

I also got some beef jerky and chocolate. The Beef jerky will last a few minutes once I open the pack. The Chocolate a few days.

The Rum? Almost forever.

I would have gone with the vodka, just because it mixes better. Do you guys get any Appleton Estate brand rums there? That's our Jamaican brand. I don't know if it might be too expensive aince it has to travel so far to get to you.

Well that's our local distillery that is world renowned so I was just curious. It's actually owned by Campari now but mostly still made here.

the company i work for actually does market analysis about the on-trade. (pubs etc that sell boze) so i should know a lot more about booze than i do.

luckily they never asked in the interview if i ever drank or went to pubs.

Haha, they own Appleton now but it is still considered Jamaican Rum. You can look for it the next time you want to drink the pain away.

My friend who works for the company keeps getting marked down by her boss at evaluation time because she isn't inclined to go to pubs and drink with her colleagues. Nevermind the fact that it is not a requirement of the job.
