So...

The Drama quotient at work exploded midlast week just before I went on holiday. The management wanted to return a really unpopular person to the team, and then did not responded to people's concerns well. This means my immediate manager handed in his notice and the most senior person on the team is only waiting to get a job offer before he does the same.

Our team's been merged with another one with immediate effect and our ex-manager is now working from home for his notice period. The senior guy was off sick yesterday and is on holiday today. And they were the two most able to help with what I was doing.

So coupled with a fun four day weekend (went on steam trains, woo!), the temperature going up relatively high, and my motivation at work is just non-existent. This is bad but I can't seem to care.

Still playing Mass Effect. (on second game of the trilogy and buying the expansions I've not played before), reading a bit and looking forward to the second series of Daredevil.

IF I can think of anything Slytheriny, I might submit it for Week 2 of [livejournal.com profile] hp_humpdrabbles's House Pride month tonight.

UGH. What a mess. It's been like musical chairs at the uni this year, and it makes it so hard to get stuff done. And our department chair just announced he's moving to Nebraska. The struggle is real, LOL.

It's supposed to be like 80 degrees here today. *screams*

Drama at work is so life-disruptive. I need a steady schedule and things like that will throw me into a funk before anything will.

I hope things level out soon.

Like you, my motivations is pants at the moment.

That work upheaval must suck. I'm sorry you're aaving to dell with that. How terrible must that person be that so many people are quitting to avoid working with them..? That environment sounds very toxic now.

Seems like low motivation is airborne because I'm right there with you guys. Super not interested in doing anything called work at the moment.

I'm just realizing how terrible my typing is when I use LJ app on my Kindle, I'm sorry about all the errors.

That sounds sort of like my office for a bit. The Board of Directors was giving the General Manager and some of the Department Managers difficulties. It was a very toxic situation and our Managers quit too.

I know the feeling.
