Dribs N Drabs

Writing with paper n mechanical pencil on a train. Thought I'd share it as I write it.

----

Harry stood, hands spread wide and resting the smooth wood of a bannister and looked down on the sight of dancing figures dressed in bright swirling robes.

He had no idea why he was there or more to the point; he was not sure why he had been invited.

The look the bridegroom, Draco Malfoy, had given to him on his arrival had said clearly that it wasn't his idea. Which was quite ungrateful of the little sod. According to the Daily Prophet it was primarily his testimony that had kept Draco and his mother Narcissa out of Azkaban.

His friends had given him a hard time about that but in Harry's defense he has just told the Wizengamot the truth, he hadn't realised they were going to be so... lenient.

Still Harry thought he might have Narcissa to thank fir the invitation for to the wedding of her son to Astoria Greengrass, it was probably her way of 'evening the score' between them.

As lost in thought as he was, Harry didn't noticed that he had company until he heard the quiet voice next to him.

"My Baby sister's marrying a complete git."

Harry gave a start and turned to face the young woman who had sidled up next to him. If her words hadn't been such a give-away he might not have recognised Daphne Greengrass.

"I can see why you might think that," he said cautiously. "But I'm not sure why you're telling me."

And that was where I got up before realising If I didn't move quickly I was going to miss my stop. Not much and it probably won't go far but its an idea that's been swimming around the back of my head since reading/writing Smutty-Claus sign ups last year.

eta: half an hour and over a page of A4 that was. And its tiny. darn.
