But in fandom times I did sign up for samhain_smut with 'my own prompt' despite not knowing at all what I'm going to write. And I've already contributed a few prompts for the Taboo Kink fest at hp_darkarts which runs until monday.

You're not melting yet. Come to Jamaica. We're smack in the middle of what feels like the hottest summer on record, and we're having a drought. Then you can talk of melting.

I don't know people in legitimately hot countries spoiling my whinging. :D Sounds like I'd disintergate into ash, vampire style, if I went to Jamaica :P

It's just been hot this week. Last couple of weekends we've had pelting raining and thunderstorms. So no drought yet. How are you coping to? Do you guys end up with water restrictions and hosepipe bans or whatever?

Lol enjoy your week. It's not quite vampire level yet because we still have a breeze but the sun is very present. :D

Send us some of that rain. We need it badly. The drought is killing me. It's only in the south coast though. There is a ban on all of that. No filling swimming pools, washing cars, no watering lawns and plants, car washes have to cease business or use water that is trucked in and paid for from other non-drought affected parishes. I think we'll be in crisis mode very soon.

Yesterday was the first truly awful day we've had this year, so I feel ya. It was up to 93F (33.8C) but felt like 107F (41.6C) an hour before sunset because of the humidity. Add to that the fact that I was working inside a factory with machines giving off a fair amount of heat and, yeah. I'm hoping the relative cool lasts, because I've got twelve-hour days on Thursday and Friday,

I'm waffling about dropping out of hp_drizzle. I still have a couple of weeks to pull a fic out of my...hat. I've also signed up for samhain_smut, hp_crossgenfest, and hp_creatures Halloween fest.

Gosh, I feel like a whiner now. You know what i mean by too hot here in the UK? low-mid 20s in degees C. :-D You have my sympathies. :D

Oh, haha. I guess it's what you get used to. When I went to London an few years ago, my traveling companion was a South African girl. It was winter in SA at the time and still warmer than London in July. I was walking around in shorts and tee shirt while she was wearing jeans and a heavy jumper.

I signed up for samhain smut as well. I'm currently 6,000 words in, and I'll probably need several thousand more. I'm sort of panicking that it's crap at the moment.
