Ahhhhahahahaha, I knew I was in for a treat when I saw it was a locked post.
Yeah, well. I'd say "treat" is an understatement. This is perfect in every way. I can't even.
From the last sentence of that first paragraph, I knew I was in trouble. Is there anything I love more than rogue!Charlie? No, I don't think there is. So a million points to you off the bat for implied infidelity, unf. And Charlie's voice just gets better from there. I adore the line about him feeling it was his obligation as an uncle to get his nieces and nephews out of trouble. *smirk*
And Bill, omfg. His coolness had me shuddering in delight. And then...
“Harder, Charlie,” Bill growled from the other end. “We’re trying to punish her, remember?”
Can't. Cope. Like. Get out of my head, Daye.
And.
Bill locked his gaze on Charlie. His face was not its usual genially laidback expression, but hard and stony; scars Charlie thought softened by age stood out in stark relief.
See me bite right through my fist.
From there on, I'm afraid I have nothing for you but squeals and strings of profanity. And to say that's the Best. Ending. Ever. I obviously didn't see it coming, but of course it made perfect sense when it did, and I doubt I need to tell you how very evil you are for leaving it there. :D
Daye. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! What a fantastically naughty way to start off my birthday. You are the best. ♥
