So my attempts to rewatch Game Of Thrones have hit a slight snag in that neither of the DVD playing programs on my laptop will play the disc. Instead they all spontaneous fail and crash on all attempts.

Overwhelmed by awesome? Not letting me commit a heinous error by watching it again? You decide!

eta: okay it turns out there was dirty great smudge all over the bottom of the disc that I most certainly did not put there.

haha! Are you going to move on to S2 anytime soon? I'd ask around before doing so. I hear the change more and use stuff from book 3 to make sure all their stars have something to do.

So with much stopping and starting (not at the nudey bits) i saw the first episode again today. Okay so emilia boobs yay. (though for some reason viserys disrobing her struck me as the hottest bit) But asides from that it all did seem a bit slow and clunky.

Well, SLH is raring to go on S2, but I'm probably going to hold off on the show until I finish all the books.

Those initial scenes between Dany and Viserys are so hot, both in the books and the show. For me, I think it's his total objectification of her. He's not even touching her because he wants to. Just because he can.

He came straight home from work today and started mid-episode! And I was like, "Why are you starting here?" And he was like, "Oh, I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer last night and had to stop." And I was like, "...you watched Game of Thrones until you couldn't hold your eyes open any longer." And he was like, "...." *sheepish*

Rewatching it may seem like a heinous error, and the time it takes up certainly is egregious, but you just have to keep telling yourself that the overwhelming awesome makes it worth it.
