*snort* They have a point, though. The hat did make Hufflepuff sound like a consolation prize.

It's funny because I'm a Pottermore Hufflepuff and I happen to love being in the badger house.

I like being a Hufflepuff. Very neutral.

Hufflepuffs are awesome, (I got a tie between Gryffindor and hufflepuff in pottermore so I grown to really like hufflepuff)

I really don't understand why they still get such a bad rep. :(

except for Zacharias Smith there hasn't been a single hufflepuff that's bad or unlikable (and some, like Tonks, are kick-ass. and There's Susan Bones- who is also really awesome and sweet)

I also never understood why people think hufflepuffs are dumb. Again, we haven't seen a single hufflepuff being dumb in the series. so what?!

Rowling even gave an explanation of why Hufflepuffs need to get more popular:

"Hufflepuff is my favorite house in some ways,” responded Jo. “There comes a point in the book where each house has a chance to rise up to a certain challenge [she didn’t want to spoil it]. The Slytherins decided they’d rather not play, the Ravenclaws – some play, some won’t, but the Hufflepuffs stay to fight. The Gryffindors – compromised of lots of full hearty and show off people. The Hufflepuffs stayed for a different reason. They didn’t want to show off, they weren’t being wreckless, that’s the essence of Hufflepuff.” “My daughter Jessica said to me recently, who wasn’t sorted into Hufflepuff, ‘I think we should all want to be Hufflepuffs.’ I can only say to you, I would not be disappointed at all to be in Hufflepuff. I’m a little upset anyone does feel that way."

so how can people not love hufflepuff after the author herself said such nice things?

(at least in pottermore hufflepuffs are getting more popular-- they won the last House Cup- so that means the hufflepuff love is on the rise? hopefully?)
