harry100's Prompt #533: "Second Chance". Not as nice as I usually play things.
- - -
Harry Potter stomped his way to his front door and pulled it open. He scowled at his visitor.
"What?" He said.
"Is that anyway to talk to your girlfriend?" said Pansy Parkinson.
"You're not my girlfriend. We broke up," said Harry, not moving out his doorway.
"Are we going to do this on the doorstep?" Pansy asked.
"No," said Harry and made to close the door.
"Fine, all right," Pansy said, sticking her foot in the door. Harry resisted the urge to slam it anyway. "I'm sorry, I messed up."
She sounded sincere.
Harry was unimpressed. She always sounded sincere.
"Being sorry is good." Harry said. "It doesn't mean we can get back together. I gave you a chance and then you ran to back to Malfoy."
"I always had a crush on him. You took me back."
"What about Zabini, did you always have a crush on him?"
"You were away for ages. I was lonely." Pansy said plaintively, "It didn't mean anything."
"It did to me."
"C'mon! You believe in second chances right?" Pansy begged. "And make-up sex is always good sex."
"I believe in second chances. Not third ones. Goodbye, Pansy." Harry said and closed the door.
