hp_nextgen100's Prompt #306: "Uncle Harry". I feel like I didn't scratch the surface of my concept here. Ah well.

"Uncle Harry?"
"Yes?" Harry Potter looked up and saw the dark eyes of his niece Lucy Weasley boring into him.
"Do you hate my dad?"
Harry blinked in surprise.
"No, of course not," he said.
Lucy frowned at him. She took after her mother in colouration: her dark hair, dark eyes, tanned freckle-less skin but there was something very Percy like about her disbelieving expression.
"You answered that very fast," she said.
"Because it's true," Harry said. "Anyway, you're fifteen, don't you hate your dad?"
"That's different," Lucy said. "You're dodging the question."
"And will gladly continue to do so."
"Seriously, Lucy," Harry said. "What brought all this on?"
"I was reading a modern history book for my History of Magic O.W.L" Lucy said. "And it said… well lots of things."
"Binns set you Rita Skeeter?" Harry asked.
"Not Binns. The O.W.L course has a new teacher for the new stuff."
"Well, I hope he teaches you not to believe everything the book says."
"That is the point," Lucy said stuffily. "Source Evaluation. You're a primary source. You were there."
"Yes I know I was," Harry said softly.
Lucy frowned and set her jaw stubbornly, as much Ginny as Percy.
Harry sighed. It was impossible to think about having an honest conversation with her about her father. It was equally impossible that she was going to drop it.
"Honestly, Lucy," He said giving in. "Your dad and I did not see eye to eye back then. Looking on it now, I can see we were both trying to do the right thing we just had very different ideas what that was and who to trust."
Lucy considered this for a long time then nodded and vanished as quickly as she'd appeared.
Harry decided Percy didn't need to know about this.
