Stuff I've watched lately:
On the fanfic side, good and bad news for GYWO. Got to a really strong start this month. I did 1st/2nd on the first weekend and aiming to do the three a week target for the other four weeks. Did last week and another today.
My resolve may waiver once I hit target though. I'm on 6/10 so far!
The bad side. Well you might have noticed. I've not posted six things this month. I've posted... the stuff for the drabble comms and that's it. The other three days, and the last one of last month were all things were i forced myself to write something for the requisite 20 mins to tick off the day and they all fizzled and died when I tried to come back to them.
I'd love to be writing some fun smutty nothings with those days, and I just can't figure out how to do it anymore.
Stuff I've watched lately:
- "X-Men 97". Very good but it packs a lot of crazy stuff into 10 episodes without nary a time to breath aside from episodes being delivered weekly. I only saw a smattering of the original cartoon but it all made sense to me.
- "Star Trek Discovery"'s come to end but I covered that in detail
- Before my paramountplus subscription ended I watched "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning". It has Hayley Atwell who I like from the MCU but it was overly long, overly portentous and treats AI predictions like prophecy which I do not like. A step down from Fallout unfortunately.
- "My Adventures with Superman" found this on the channel 4 website. a new upbeat superman cartoon kind of anime inspired. I've watched 9 out of 10 episodes it's got the same problem as x-men in a different way. 10 episodes a season is not enough. This one feels like it's only just got going until bam, episode 7 is a big multiverse thing and episode 8/9 is the big climax. Pacing is off to me. Still very likable cast.
- "Star Wars: The Acolyte". Not watched this yet. It's got a few actors I like in and I have disneyPlus so I should try it. new Star Wars hasn't really clicked for me though. Only watched the movies and Ahsoka.
- Going to see "Furiosa" at the weekend
- Relistening to the hobbit audio book, an old version read by Rob Inglis. I have/will have 3 credits on audible from an offer soon, so if anyone has audiobook recommendations let me go.
