harry100's Prompt #493: "Kerfuffle" (defined as "a confrontation over differing views" according to a website the comm linked. As a brit I figure we'd use it light-heartedly or ironically)
- - -
The message arrived after the kids had gone to bed. St Mungo's had their own way to send word, but her brother's silver terrier patronus always reached Ginny Potter first.
It took Ginny longer than she liked to get going but within five minutes Luna appeared out of the floo to babysit and Ginny apparated to front desk of St Mungo's Hospital.
The witch at reception recognised her of course and tersely gave her directions and the usual warnings.
It wasn't hard to tell which bed was her husband's in the ward.
Ron was sitting at the foot of it.
"Well?" Ginny said to Ron. He got out the chair and Ginny knew he'd be sitting there until Harry was better. her husband would, and had, done the same for him.
Harry had bandages wrapped around his ribs, his left arm and one side of his head.
"Hey Gin," Harry croaked, unexpectedly, "there was kerfuffle that's all."
"A Kerfuffle?!"
"We had a slight difference of opinion." Harry's uncovered eye blazed with green fire. "They thought human sacrifice for dark power was a good thing. Ron and I disagreed."
Ginny's face softened.
"Of course you did," she said, taking his hand.
