It was Neville Longbottom's birthday and a frankly embarrassing amount of friends and relations had turned out to celebrate with him.
He took a parcel off the top of the pile and, checked the label, tore the paper off.
A book fell on to his lap.
"Oh, Caribbean Waterplants!" Neville exclaimed, enthusiastically, "What a surprise! How did you know Frank?"
"It was on your list, Daddy," Frank said uncertainly.
"Well, I'm old you know, Frank, I can't always remember what I put on my list." Neville said with a wink.
Little Frank, eight years old, accepted this at face value.
