The club was loud and busy, James Sirius Potter sat in a corner with a couple of friends and a couple of cousins, the table between them was littered with bottles of beer; both butter and otherwise.
"I can't believe she dumped me," said James.
"Yeah that's rough," said Freddie Weasley.
"My one chance at love, lost," James said.
"Oh, don't say that," said Dominique Weasley.
"Yeah, plenty of fish in the sea," said one of their other friends.
"No, she was the only one."
"Closer than you think," the friend said, nudging Dominique who blushed and glared at him.
Dom frowned at James.
"My round? Water for you I think," She said, departing.
A moment after she was gone, a well appointed young lady with sandy blonde hair and abbreviated clothing wandered past. James's eyes snapped up and then down again as she swayed away.
"I'm just… going to go over there." James said sliding out from behind the table and following the girl, looking punch drunk.
"Here we go," Dom said, returning with drinks. "where's Jaime?"
"On the prowl," Freddie said.
"Oh-" Dom was downhearted. "-What happened to lost love?"
"Looks like he found it again," chortled Freddie.
