It was just after Harry and Ron's shift and they were in the Ministry locker room changing out of heavy Auror's robes. Ron happened to glance at Harry with his shirt unbuttoned and laughed.
"What?" Harry asked.
"Someone had more fun on the beach than he let on," Ron chortled.
"I don't know what you mean!"
"That's a clue," Ron said, nodding to Harry's midriff.
Harry frowned and looked in the mirror at where Ron had nodded. All his chest had tanned brown in the sunshine… except a rough semi-circle of skin over his waistline that was pale and untouched.
