Disclaimer: The characters, settings and HP Franchise as a whole are owned by JKR and not by me. I make no profit from writing this piece of fanfiction.
Summary: James does his best to cheer Dom up.
A/n: I did this one backwards, had the idea, looking through the prompts to see if one would match. So Technically this is for
hp_nextgen100 prompt #232: "Ill". Enjoy.

Dominique Weasley coughed and spluttered, she was buried under two blankets, a duvet and had a damp towel across her forehead. She looked completely and utterly miserable.
Healers, James Sirius Potter thought, made the worst patients. Even when cheering charms and pepper-up potion had failed to make a dent in Dominique's illness, he still had to fight tooth and nail to get her to go to bed.
He was hardly less miserable than she was.
"This sucks," Dominique complained. "Can't do anything, can't even sleep. It's just a stupid cold."
James made sympathetic noises and then he had an idea.
"Hang on," he said and sprang to his feet.
"Not going anywhere, am I?" Dominique said moodily.
James dashed to their living room, stacked haphazardly in one corner was a pile of boxes his parents had dropped off when they'd downsized that he'd never unpacked.
He took one look at the pile of boxes and he used a summoning charm.
"This is," James said, returning to sit by Dom's side. "Is the cure to what ails you. It's called 'The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark'"
And he read his favourite children's book to her, long into the night.
