Harry Potter sat in the front row of Padma Patil's wedding, feeling terribly exposed.
"Thanks for coming to this," Parvati Patil said, softly.
"No problem," Harry said, "Ah… Michael didn't want to come?"
"Oh, I ditched him," Parvati said. "He was being weird. Always wanting me do a seven veils dance for him. That's not even an Indian thing."
Parvati held his hand.
Harry glanced towards the altar, where Padma stood dressed in a colourful veil then back at Parvati and smiled and squeezed her hand back.
As far as Harry was concerned seven veils was about six too many.
