Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione sat sipping cups of tea under the summer sun.
"So your birthday's coming up, Harry," Ron said. "What are we doing to celebrate?"
It was an unnecessary comment, Harry knew that his birthday was coming up.
"I don't know," Harry said, "It's a big one."
"Twenty-two isn't old," Hermione scoffed, being closer to twenty-three now herself.
"Not old," Harry said quietly, "It's Just a big milestone, is what I mean."
Ron and Ginny looked at him seriously.
"I suppose it is," said Ron.
"I think I know where you want to go, Harry," Ginny said.
The official celebration was a big party at the burrow in the evening, but Harry and Ginny had taken the day off. It was the middle of the week and quiet in Godric's Hollow when they arrived.
This time, they'd bought the flowers ahead of time. Harry didn't know what kind they'd've liked. So he bought a bit of everything that they laid on James and Lily's grave.
Twenty-two, he thought. He was older than they'd even been. It was sad but also something of a relief.

Ginny was smiling though. Her brown eyes glowed with warmth as she looked up at him.
"I know, dear," Ginny said. "I've always known that you'd want kids."
"It feels right, now," Harry said. "Safe."
Ginny smiled and embraced him.
