Yes to Ron's fallibility! That's what makes him one of the most endearing characters to me.
His loyalty is my favorite. In seven years, he only turns his back on Harry twice, and both of those times, I can fully empathize with him. And both times he comes back stronger and more loyal than ever. There are plenty of other times throughout the series when I probably would have told Harry to go screw himself, but Ron patiently sticks by him. Even though being Harry's best friend means he'll never get the glory he's always craved. In fact, when he does finally get some recognition (making Prefect, for example), he actually plays it down for Harry's sake. OMG I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
Gotta agree with you on that final rendition of "Weasley Is Our King". Although the scene where he destroys the locket is not too shabby.
