The wind howled and the rain swept over them; Teddy and James crowded around the open bonnet of the car trying to look like they knew anything useful. Freddie was in the driver’s seat, repeatedly turning the ignition.
“This is supposed to make it go!” He said as Teddy made frantic motions for him to stop.
Rose was curled up in the back seat, reading a book and keeping out of it. The road trip hadn’t been her idea after all.
Victoire appeared, sheltering her head with her hands.
“I asked Grandpa and he thinks it needs something called petrol?”
