weasleyjumpers's 2021 Comment Fest For the prompt: "Any Weasley/Any, Starlight"
Roxy was always getting him into trouble, Al thought as he hovered nervously in the Hufflepuff common room waiting for the last students to go up to bed. He wondered why he was doing this. It wasn’t like Roxy had told him what she wanted, just to meet her in the entrance hall at midnight.
When he’d pointed out that was well past curfew, she’d just grinned at him and sauntered off.
Wishing he had an invisibility cloak Al left the common room and head up towards the entrance hall, expecting to be accosted by a teacher at any moment.
Roxy came down from the direction of Gryffindor tower. She was wearing jeans and a low cut top that made Al blush. The only concession she’d made to the coolness of the night air was to wear her favourite battered old dragonskin jacket.
“Come on,” she said.
“Where are we going?” Al said, his mouth was dry.
“For a walk.”
Al’s heart skipped a beat as Roxy grabbed his hand and propelled him out into the grounds. They went to the back gardens of Hogwarts the far side of the castle from the forest and Hogsmeade. There were no lights.
“Beautiful isn’t it?” Roxy said huskily.
Al looked up, it was a clear summer’s night. The sky was a dark inky blue, the literal colour of midnight. Each star was a brilliant point of light and Al could see the penumbra of nebula and nova as he stared upwards.
“It is,” Al said.
Roxy laughed.
“I drag you out here, just the two of us and you look at the sky?”
Al looked at her in surprise. She’d cosyed up close to him. The starlight was reflected in her eyes.
Roxy’s lips were soft and warm as he kissed her.
