I'm sparing you full write ups on 2 and 3, Good but not quite as good as 1.

Thoughts as I went for e4:

Okay, Trills good. Trill continuity not so good.

I guess the no-non Trill host bit could be because Riker didn’t permanently bond with Odal but the small population of hosts was revealed in DS9 to be a ruse. Basically many many more trill were capable of it than the society admitted to, so the idea of them running out again seems… off.

Michael does something I’ve thought they should do much more often; shoot first ask questions later. Not particular Star Trek I guess but… they have a stun setting! No long term harm, no foul.

I would be a lot more worried about the computer than Saru seems to be after the diagnostic.

Nitpick: There should be more than one set of bridge crew other than the ones we always see.

Okay the dinner scene was super uncomfortable and hard to watch. Detmer is cracking up from stress/ptsd and no-one seems to realise that? This ship needs a counsellor.

I think one of those Starfleet uniforms was a Picard era one which is very nifty.

The follow up with the crew were nice but seemed quick. I like that Saru admits to Culber it wasn't his idea but I hope he doesn't have to keep cribbing leadership from the computer.

Adira Tal must be in for a very odd experience when she full integrates Grey’s memories, hopefully he wasn’t keeping anything too mean from her.

Okay, she’s hallucinating him? I mean Ezri could do that with Joran but she had to do a specific ritual to bring him out.

I didn't think it was odd that they ran out of Trill hosts since I got the impression that tons of them were off the planet and died in the Burn, while many of the symbionts were on the planet in the pools and survived. But Trill continuity has always been hand-wavey, so it didn't bother me either way.

I agree about the bridge crew. The only time we ever see anyone else on duty is when the regulars are specifically elsewhere for plot-related reasons, like when they visited Earth. It's been that way since S1 and it seems like an odd thing not to fix.

It would be great if the ship had a counselor, though it's not necessarily inconsistent for them not to have one since TOS didn't. I think it's mentioned that McCoy had some training in psychology, so I suppose it makes sense that Culber would too and is taking on that role.
