Now the first flush of seeing Stewart and Spiner is over. Does it still stand up? Yes... mostly. Spoilers under the cut.

I'm very dubious about the whole mars attack and the conspiracy in Starfleet Security. It feels like leading in to ~~9/11~~ Mars was an inside job conspiracy theory.
Laris is awesome.
Picard's doctor was a Stargazer ship mate rather than a TNG one very interesting and calls back to "All Good Things" again. Picard may really have the same syndrome he did there.
A reason why he doesn't call in the TNG Crew for more than cameos and makes sense.
I have no idea where the borg cube plot is going but it's fascinating.
They had 'five thousand days since our last workplace assimilation' sign which is a hilarious bit of dark comedy.
