How is it August already? Where has the year gone? Why haven't I written more? Why does time move inexorably forward constantly? Why?

Some stuff coming up I'm interested in:

• hp_nextgen_fest  starts prompting today
• weasleyjumpers  is having  an inaugural mini-fest this month
• smutty_claus  and mini_fest  are running this year for Christmas.

Anything else I'm missing? There's also my firewhiskeyfic to translate and repost at somepoint. (I got 1/3 of the best prompt use!)
